  • Amendment #1, offered by Mr. Polis of Colorado.
    • Would require that any bill or substitute amendment considered by the Committee on Rules be accompanied by a cost estimate from the Congressional Budget Office.  
    • Failed 9-3 

The Committee adopted its rules of procedure for the 113th Congress. The rules were adopted by voice vote. The Honorable Virginia Foxx was designated the Vice-Chairwoman of the Committee. The Subcommittee ratios were adopted by voice vote.
