The Committee on Rules may meet the week of May 13th to grant a rule that could limit the amendment process for floor consideration of H.R. 1062, the SEC Regulatory Accountability Act.
H.R. 807 authorizes the Secretary of the Treasury, in the event of the federal government reaching the statutory debt limit, to issue new debt for the sole purpose of making payments on the principal and interest earned on the debt, and payments from the Social Security Trust Fund only.
H.R. 1406 allows private-sector workers to choose paid time off instead of cash wages as compensation for working overtime hours. Currently, the Fair Labor Standards Act requires that overtime pay for private-sector employees be in the form of cash wages.
