Amendment Process Announcement for H.R. 1315

The Committee on Rules may meet the week of July 18th to grant a rule that could limit the amendment process for floor consideration of H.R. 1315, the Consumer Financial Protection Safety and Soundness Improvement Act of 2011.

Rules Committee Print dated July 14, 2011, which is posted on the Rules Committee website.  The Rules Committee Print consists of the text of H.R. 1315, H.R. 1121, and H.R. 1667 as reported by the Committee on Financial Services with technical and conforming changes.

Members should use the Office of Legislative Counsel to ensure that their amendments are drafted in the most appropriate format. Members should also check with the Office of the Parliamentarian, the Committee on the Budget, and the Congressional Budget Office to be certain their amendments comply with the rules of the House and the Congressional Budget Act.
