"The recent IRS scandal is a prime example of the federal government abusing its power. By intentionally targeting conservative groups and political opponents of the president, the IRS has severely damaged the American people’s trust in their government.

“Tonight’s State of the Union address was a missed opportunity for President Obama to admit that his policies have failed to meet the needs of the American people.  Instead, he promised a ‘year of action’ – even if that means circumventing Congress and the constitutional lawmaking process while making unilateral decisions through executive orders.
