Sessions Applauds Passage of Bill to Cut Red Tape and Create Jobs

Washington, DC – U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX), chairman of the House Rules Committee, today issued the following statement after voting in favor of the Commodity End-User Relief Act, a bill to provide relief to businesses in an uncertain global economy:

“Reauthorizing and improving the Commodity Futures Trading Commission protects businesses that make up the backbone of our economy – farmers, manufacturers and producers – from burdensome regulations. By cutting red tape, businesses will operate in an environment focused on growth and job creation, not more government overreach. Basic reforms in this bill ensure transparency and accountability, and allow businesses to control costs and better manage risk."
