WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX), Chairman of the House Committee on Rules, today released the following statement announcing that Doug Andres will serve as the Communications Director for the Rules Committee starting Monday, June 16th:
"Doug has been an asset to our team in his current role and I look forward to working with him in his expanded capacity," said Sessions. "Doug's proven skill and knowledge of Rules Committee procedures will allow us to continue to keep the public informed about the work that our Republican Majority does on behalf of the American people."
Andres currently serves as the Deputy Communications Director for the Rules Committee for Sessions and previously served in the same role for former Chairman David Dreier. Current Communications Director Torrie Miller will begin a new opportunity as Senator Richard Shelby's Communications Director on Monday.
