WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX), chairman of the House Rules Committee, today issued the following statement after voting in favor of a bill to limit donations made pursuant to settlement agreements to which the United States is a party:
The Committee on Rules is likely to meet the week of September 12th to grant a rule that may provide a structured amendment process for floor consideration of H.R. 5226, the Regulatory Integrity Act of 2016.

As we return from our August District Work Period, I wanted to inform Members of an important hearing my subcommittee will be holding next week. The Subcommittee on Rules and Organization of the House will hold a Members Day hearing at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 14th, 2016 in H-313 The Capitol on proposed changes to the standing rules of the House.
