Motion by Mr. McGovern to amend the rule to make in order amendment #30 to H.R. 8580, offered by Representative Wasserman Schultz, which strikes sections 256, 257, and 416 which would prohibit funds for gender-affirming care, flying certain flags, and to take any discriminatory action against a person who speaks or acts in accordance with a sincerely held religious belief that marriage is a union of one man and one woman. Defeated: 3–9
