Sessions Votes to Protect Seniors

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX), Chairman of the House Committee on Rules, released the following statement applauding the passage of a measure to repeal an advisory board created under Obamacare:

“The Independent Payment Advisory Board is yet another example of Obamacare putting bureaucratic interests over the well-being of Americans. With its unprecedented power, this board has the ability to make cuts to Medicare with no oversight, transparency, or safeguards for accountability. We cannot allow the health care of our nation's seniors to be jeopardized by a group of unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats.  I proudly joined my colleagues in supporting this bipartisan bill to protect American seniors.”
