Summary

Section 4002 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) allocates $17.75 billion, in direct spending, from FY2012-FY2021 to provide for “expanded and sustained national investment in prevention and public health programs to improve health and help restrain the rate of growth in private and public sector health care costs.” H.R. 1217 would repeal this Prevention and Public Health Fund and rescinds unobligated funds made available by Section 4002.
