Good afternoon.
For four years, Americans were left to fend for themselves amidst the fallout of the Biden-Harris Administration’s failed decision-making. Under their leadership, inflation soared, energy prices reached record highs, illegal immigration exploded, and the geopolitical order our nation created over generations crumbled. Instead of owning up to their mistakes, Democrats refused to acknowledge reality.

I would like to welcome everyone to the House Committee on Rules’ Member Day for the 118th Congress. Pursuant to Section 3(h) of H. Res. 5, the Committee is convening this member day to hear from the broader body about issues under this Committee’s jurisdiction. I am glad to see the interest and participation of the membership off our committee and look forward to hearing their ideas.
