Sessions Applauds House Passage FY 2015 Commerce-Justice-Science Spending Bill

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX), chairman of the House Rules Committee, today released the following statement on the House’s passage of an annual spending bill to fund the Departments of Commerce and Justice as well as the nation’s top science programs:

“Investing wisely in law enforcement, counterterrorism, cybersecurity and scientific research is vital to the growth of the American economy at a crucial time. The federal programs that this bill supports ensure we remain globally competitive when it comes to scientific innovation, research and exploration, as well as adequately protected from criminal activity and the ever-increasing risk of cyber threats. House Republicans once again made tough choices to weed out wasteful spending and fund these programs below the president’s request, and I am happy to have supported this important measure.”
