Sessions: WRRDA Spurs Job Creation & Promotes Competitiveness

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX), Chairman of the House Rules Committee, today released the following statement regarding House passage of the Water Resources Reform and Development Act (WRRDA):

“WRRDA is a bipartisan bill that makes smart investments in our nation’s water infrastructure to spur job creation and promote America’s competitiveness in the international marketplace.  Specifically, WRRDA authorizes key missions of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to develop and maintain our waterways. It also streamlines permitting processes, expands public-private partnerships, and promotes fiscal responsibility.  I’m encouraged that the House approved WRRDA with strong bipartisan support today and call on my colleagues to join me in continuing to fight for policies that encourage economic growth.”
