Washington, D.C. – House Rules Committee Chairman Tom Cole (R-OK) today announced the Committee's majority staff team for the 118th Congress.

Our business today is to consider H.R. 5, the Parents Bill of Rights Act.
The COVID-19 pandemic caused significant disruption to the life of every single American, but one of the harshest impacts was inflicted upon America's children. Across the country, schools closed or shifted to a hybrid model with limited in-person instruction. For millions of students, that meant being pulled from the classroom and forced into virtual education that was inadequate, and in many cases damaging.

Our business today is to consider H. Con. Res. 9, sponsored by Representative Salazar of Florida. This concurrent resolution denounces socialism in all its forms and opposes the implementation of socialist policies in the United States.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) was officially appointed Chairman of the House Rules Committee for the 118th Congress by Speaker Kevin McCarthy. Before consideration on the House floor, every major piece of legislation must first pass through the Rules Committee.
